Charitable Donations
Please read before proceeding with donation requests:
Pet Food Express will make product donations to events that directly benefit pets or children’s schools. Due to the volume of requests we receive, we require donation requests be received at least 60-days prior to your event. Only requests submitted in writing will be accepted.

Please use the donation form provided here, and either email, fax or mail your request. Email is the most efficient and also allows us to respond to your request quicker. All contact info is provided on the form.

Easy ways to make a difference in animal's lives...

Donating couldn't be easier. Simply peruse the list of San Francisco Bay Area shelters or rescues on the right and choose the object of your affection to view their wish lists. If you don't see your favorite organization, click on the link at the bottom of the list and please let us know who we're missing. In the case of a few of the organizations that don't have a specific wish list, visit their web site , drop them a line and ask them what they'd like to receive. Then shop away. Please write down the items that you would like to purchase.

The following discount programs are offered for our customers who volunteer with animal rescue organizations, or whose profession involves them working with animals.

Pet Rescue Volunteer Discount and Fundraising Programs:
Thank you for your interest in our Pet Rescue support program. We recognize that rescue organizations regularly make heroic efforts to find homes for pets in need and to promote programs that address animal overpopulation. Pet Food Express enjoys showing its appreciation and support of your important efforts by offering discount and fundraising programs to your group.

Our Rescue Volunteer Discount program offers a 10% discount on foods and a 20% discount on supplies for active members in your group (may not be combined with any other discount offers.) Of course, we hope that you will be thrilled with how we do business and will tell all of your friends and clients to shop with us as a result.

In addition, Pet Food Express also provides a one-time discount coupon for each animal that you place. This entitles the new adoptive parent to a 20% discount off of everything for one purchase when they present the coupon and their adoption papers. For every coupon that your organization issues that is redeemed at a Pet Food Express, we will send you a $10.00 cash donation, paid quarterly. You don’t have to do anything for this except to give out the coupons and to encourage your clients to use them!

You must meet the following criteria to qualify you for the Rescue Discount Program:
1.You must be a certified member of a registered non-profit rescue organization
2.You must have a written and enforced spay and neuter policy
3.You must have a written adoption and return policy.

Pet Food Express Pet Professional Discount Program:
Pet Food Express has been in business in the Bay Area since 1986. Locally owned and operated by Michael Levy and Mark Witriol, we built our outstanding reputation by providing quality products and unmatched customer service at competitive prices. We currently have 34, stores and expect to be opening 3-4 stores a year for the foreseeable future. We have been voted Best Pet Food Stores in the U.S. twice in recent years.

We enjoy supporting our local animal business partners by offering you and your employees a 10% discount on pet foods and 20% discount on pet supplies (although some restrictions apply.)

Pet Food Express Pet School Pet Discount Program:
As part of our ongoing efforts to help our communities, Pet Food Express offers a special discount to support classroom pets that are used to teach students about animals and responsible pet ownership. Using the teacher as a monitor and the children as a forum, Pet Food Express will also assist each classroom in deciding which type of pet(s) to adopt and care for. A Pet Food Express employee will be available to talk with students about responsible pet ownership, proper care and handling of their classroom pets.

The School Pet Program is designed for small mammals, birds, fish, and reptiles. It does not apply to dogs, cats, or livestock. Other animals will be considered on a case by case basis.

Once your pet selection has been made, Pet Food Express offers a 10% discount on food and 20% on supplies needed to properly care for the classroom pet. Using this discount card, teachers may purchase supplies for their classroom pets at any of our conveniently located Bay Area stores. They may not be used for a teacher’s personal at home pets.
